# Account settings

Open the account menu in the MemberPress.ai app and choose **Settings**. The page reads: “Your account, what we’re allowed to email you, your chat preferences, security, and AI assistants.”

Settings has two tabs, **Account** and **AI assistants**. This page covers the Account tab. For the AI assistants tab, see [Using your own AI client](https://memberpress.ai/help/using-your-own-ai-client/).

## Profile

-   **Name** and **Timezone**: click **Edit**, change the value, then **Save** or **Cancel**.
-   **Email** shows the address you sign in with. It cannot be edited here.
-   **Password**: “We email you a link to change it.” Click **Send link** and the reset link goes to your email address.
-   **GitHub**: click **Link** to add GitHub sign-in, or **Unlink** to remove it. You confirm with your password, or with **Verify with Google** if your account signs in with Google.

## Email preferences

You can turn these emails on or off: **Site connected**, **Onboarding reminders** and **First step in Opal**.

**Digest** sets how often you get a summary email: **Weekly**, **Daily** or **No digest**. A separate switch, **Email me alerts about failed payments**, controls alert emails.

On the Free plan, Daily and the alerts switch are turned off, and the page says: “The daily digest and event alerts are part of a paid plan.”

Some email is not optional. The page says: “Account, security, and billing email — verification, password resets, receipts and plan changes — always sends. It isn’t a preference.”

## Chat preferences

-   **Tone**: “How you want the advisor to talk to you.” Click **Manage** to open **Your Preferences**. Editing a preference (**Edit**) and adding one (**\+ Add preference**) are part of Pro.
-   **Business profile**: click **View** to open the Connections page, where each site keeps its own profile.
-   **Voice history**: click **Delete** to remove everything you said to Opal by voice and her spoken replies. The app asks: “Delete everything you said to Opal by voice, and her spoken replies? This can’t be undone.” Click **Delete** again to confirm.

## Security

**Sign out of all other sessions** signs you out on every other browser and device. You stay signed in where you are.

Before you click it, you can tick **Also disconnect connected AI assistants**. The confirmation depends on that box:

-   Unticked: “Sign out every other session? Connected AI assistants stay connected.”
-   Ticked: “Sign out every other session and disconnect your AI assistants? They will need to be connected again.”

If you tick the box, you will need to connect each AI assistant again afterwards.

## Privacy

The Privacy section appears only when analytics is set up for the app. It shows your choice for Google Analytics cookies (allowed, declined or not answered yet) and a **Change** button to pick again.

## What is not on this page

-   **Billing**: open **Billing** from the account menu.
-   **Connected sites**: open **Connections** from the account menu.
-   **Data export and account deletion**: the app has no button for either. Email [legal@memberpress.ai](mailto:legal@memberpress.ai) to ask for a copy of your data or to delete your account.
