# Copy text from a generated draft

Updated October 21, 2026

Read back content you already generated in the MemberPress.ai app. You can copy the text without generating it again or publishing anything.

## Video: copy an existing draft

[Video](https://pub-0d3b698f9f4b4d78b4b87cc06192a2b1.r2.dev/opal-help-oct21/62-copy-draft-v1.mp4)

The example opens an existing watercolor FAQ and copies its text. It does not create another page or publish the draft.

## Open and copy the text

1. Open **Generations** and find the completed item you want to reuse.
2. Select its row to read the generated text in the details panel.
3. Check that you opened the right title and content.
4. Choose **Copy**. The button changes to **Copied**.
5. Review the wording before pasting it into your own document or editor.

The details panel shows generated text. Your site’s theme can display it differently, so copying it does not verify the final page layout.

See [Generations](https://memberpress.ai/help/generations/) for reading back completed work and [Reviewing drafts in wp-admin](https://memberpress.ai/help/reviewing-drafts-in-wp-admin/) for checking the saved WordPress content.
