# Insights: what changed this week

Updated October 19, 2026

## Video: read your weekly insights

[Video](https://pub-0d3b698f9f4b4d78b4b87cc06192a2b1.r2.dev/read-your-weekly-insights-redacted-v2.mp4)

Open “Insights” directly below “Dashboard” in the MemberPress.ai sidebar. It is available on every plan and shows what changed on one selected site. Use the site switcher to choose which site to read.

## Check which site and sync you are reading

The heading is “Insights”, with the site’s name underneath and a sync badge beside it. When syncs are healthy, a site synced today shows “Synced today”. On Free, an older sync label starts with “Monthly ·”, followed by the sync state, such as “Synced yesterday”. The badge can also flag a connection or sync problem. See [Syncing](https://memberpress.ai/help/syncing/) for sync timing and refreshing your data.

## Read the insight card

The card gives a headline about what moved on your site.

On Pro, select “What’s driving it?” to open a new chat with a prepared question about the headline. You send the question when you are ready. For more on follow-up questions, see [Asking the assistant](https://memberpress.ai/help/asking-the-assistant/).

On Free, the headline is followed by a “Pro” badge and “Pro can dig into what’s driving it in chat.” Select “Upgrade to ask in chat” to upgrade for that follow-up.

Some cards also have a recommended action. On either plan, that link opens the relevant place in your site’s wp-admin in a new tab.

## Compare this week with last week

The “This week vs. last” table has four columns: “Metric”, “Last week”, “This week”, and “Change”. It shows the comparison even when no movement was large enough to produce a headline, as long as comparison data is available.

For the full numbers on your site, open [Your dashboard](https://memberpress.ai/help/your-dashboard/).

## When there is no headline

The message tells you why:

| Message | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| “One site at a time” | You selected All sites. Insights compares one site’s own history. Choose a single site in the site switcher. |
| “Connect your site” | No site is selected. If nothing is connected yet, connect a membership site to get started. |
| “I need about two weeks of syncs before I can call a trend.” | There is not enough synced history for the comparison, which can happen on a new site. Waiting fourteen days alone does not guarantee a headline. |
| “Nothing crossed a reporting threshold this week.” | The comparison found no movement large enough to report as a headline. The comparison table can still show the week’s readings. |

Missing data is a different state. If the site has not reported anything this week, Insights says “This site hasn’t reported anything this week, so there’s nothing to compare.” It also names the last sync date when available. A failed request can leave the headline or table absent, or show an error. Neither missing data nor a failed request means MemberPress.ai measured a quiet week.

## About the walkthrough example

In this walkthrough, Revenue shows ”—” last week and “$0.00” this week, with “No baseline yet” in Change. Member churn rate’s Change label and Best revenue month both say “Not measured”. The missing baseline does not establish a measured zero change, and the best-revenue card does not report a $0 record.

## FAQ

### Why does Insights say it needs two weeks?

MemberPress.ai does not have enough synced history to compare the two weeks. The message is about the history available for comparison. Waiting fourteen days alone does not guarantee a headline.

### Can I ask why a number moved on Free?

The Insights card's follow-up in chat is Pro-only. Free shows the headline with a Pro badge and an Upgrade to ask in chat link. This restriction applies to the card's follow-up, not to chat generally.
