# Creating your account and signing in

You use MemberPress.ai at **app.memberpress.ai**. This page covers creating an account, signing in, resetting a password and accepting an invitation.

## Create your account

Open the app and choose to sign up. The page is titled “Create your account” with the line “Free to start.” You have two options:

-   Click **Continue with Google**.
-   Fill in **Display name (optional)**, **Email** and **Password**, which needs 8 or more characters. Pass the security check, then click **Create account**.

GitHub is not offered on the sign-up page.

## Verify your email

The link in the verification email opens a page titled “Verifying your email…” and then shows “Email verified”. If the link is old or has already been used, the page says it is invalid or has expired:

-   Signed out: “This verification link is invalid or has expired. Sign in and we can send a new one.”
-   Signed in: “This verification link is invalid or has expired. You can send a new one from the app.”

## Sign in

The sign-in page is titled “Sign in”. Pick one:

-   **Continue with Google**.
-   **Continue with GitHub**. This button appears only when GitHub sign-in is offered, so you may not see it.
-   **Email** and **Password**, then **Sign in**.

### Link GitHub to your account

GitHub sign-in works for an account you have already created. In Settings, find the GitHub row under Profile and click **Link**. Confirm with your password. If you only use Google and have no password, click **Verify with Google** instead.

## Reset a forgotten password

1.  On the sign-in page, click **Forgot password?**.
2.  On “Reset your password”, enter your **Email** and pass the security check.
3.  Click **Send reset link**, then check your inbox.
4.  The link opens “Set new password”. Enter a **New password** of 8 or more characters, type it again in **Confirm password**, and click **Reset password**.

If you are already signed in, you can send yourself a reset link from Settings: under Profile, in the Password row, click **Send link**.

## Accept an invitation

An invitation email opens “Accept your invitation”. When the invitation carries a name, you see “<name> invited you to MemberPress.ai”. Set a **Password**, type it again in **Confirm password**, and click **Activate account**. Then sign in with the email the invitation was sent to and your new password.

If MemberPress.ai built a site for you, you get a welcome email instead of an invitation. Its link opens “Set new password”, where you choose a password to get into the app.

## If the security check does not load

The sign-up and reset forms use a security check (Cloudflare Turnstile). You may see one of two messages:

-   “Verification is unavailable right now; please try again shortly.”
-   “Verification couldn’t load — please disable your ad blocker or content blocker and reload the page.”

Click **Try again** beside the message. If the check still does not load, turn off extensions that block it, or try another browser.

## Sign out everywhere else

In Settings, under Security, click **Sign out of all other sessions**. The app asks you to confirm first, and the session you are using stays signed in. You can also choose to disconnect your connected AI assistants at the same time; they need to be connected again afterward.

## FAQ

### Can I sign up with GitHub?

No. The Create your account page offers Continue with Google, or an email and password. GitHub sign-in is for accounts that already exist: link it from Settings, then use Continue with GitHub on the sign-in page when it is shown.

### My verification link says it expired

Open the app and sign in. A signed-out visitor sees "This verification link is invalid or has expired. Sign in and we can send a new one." A signed-in user sees "This verification link is invalid or has expired. You can send a new one from the app."

### I forgot my password. How do I get back in?

On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?, enter your email, pass the security check and click Send reset link. The email opens Set new password, where you choose a new one.
