# Understand historical site records

Historical records and weekly comparisons cover different periods. Read the definitions in Records before comparing their numbers.

## Read how the records are worked out

1.  Open **Insights**, then **Records**.
2.  Open **How these are worked out**.
3.  Check each definition before comparing it with another report.

The panel describes records across the site’s whole history:

-   Best revenue month uses net settled payments.
-   Best signup month counts registrations, whether or not a member paid.
-   Average tenure covers members holding access today.
-   The current partial month can set a record.

These definitions explain the scope of a record. They do not establish that a missing or unmeasured value is zero.
