The operators who already run their sites on MemberPress are not going to be the ones we surprise with sloppy data handling. Here is what MemberPress.ai will and won't do, in plain English. The authoritative detail is in the Privacy Notice.
Your password never leaves your site.
The AI lives inside your WordPress site. You authorize it on your own domain, at your own login, and you can revoke it there any time. A temporary installer credential exists only for minutes during connect and is destroyed on success. No password sits on anyone else's server.
Every write is a dry run first.
Writes preview as a dry run unless they are explicitly executed, refunds and subscription changes require a second human confirmation, and a new site is published with one setup approval. Exploring can never break anything.
No model fine-tuning. Ever.
Your site, your member list, your payment gateway — they stay yours. No customer data, prompts, or transcripts train Anthropic models, regardless of what any ToS would allow. The same policy applies to Free and paid.
Your data stays on your site.
Your business data lives in your WordPress database, where it always has. MemberPress.ai reads it to answer and acts on it when you ask — it isn't copied into a separate warehouse to sit there. Your own AI assistant reaches it over an MCP endpoint on your own domain, authorized on your own login.
GDPR + CCPA from day one.
Disconnect the plugin and MemberPress.ai stops reading your site; deactivating and deleting it removes its footprint from your site. How the connection is held.
- → Authorization: on your own WordPress login. OAuth 2.1 + PKCE with dynamic client registration for the site's MCP endpoint.
- → Installer credential: single-use, encrypted, lives for minutes, and is destroyed automatically on success. Revocable in your profile at any time.
- → In transit: TLS between your site, the connect service, and Anthropic. Your site serves over HTTPS.
- → Write guardrails: dry-run previews, a second human confirmation for money, and new content saved as drafts.
- → Reporting: security issues to security@memberpress.ai — policy at /.well-known/security.txt.
The paperwork.
We are finalizing our standard DPA; contact legal@memberpress.ai to request a copy or ask about its current status. For EU data transfers, Standard Contractual Clauses are the intended mechanism; we are verifying executed coverage with each vendor and will state the confirmed position in the Privacy Notice. The sub-processors MemberPress.ai uses to run the connect and billing service are listed and kept current there; that page is the authoritative list, updated before any new one starts processing customer data.
